Welcome to Pera Mediterranean!

Soon to be one of Upper Street, Islington’s top newcomers, Pera Mediterranean brings an authentic taste & hospitality of eastern Mediterranean cuisine to London’s Islington.

Pera features numerous mezes, specially prepared and marinated cuts of grilled meats and seafood, traditional and modern Mediterranean side dishes and regional breads baked a la minute.Guests can choose from a variety of different cuts of lamb, beef and chicken, or opt for lighter options from the lunch menu featuring assorted servings of house specialities.

Delightful! My and my friends experience at Pera could really not have been better… the restaurant is decorated beautifully (especially the Mediterranean toilet’s!) and the service was great, it had a real homely family feel to it. Happy to say the food didn’t let the side down either…my salmon and my friend’s lamb were absolutely delicious and unbelievably good value for such reasonably priced food. I will be hurrying back here again soon!

It was our first visit to Pera this evening. As residents of Angel, we've been to most restaurants that Upper Street has to offer. We arrived at Pera 15 minutes late for our reservation but the hostess could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. We ordered scallops and the mixed sausage for starters, followed by the slow-cooked lamb shank and mixed grill for mains. We ordered a nice bottle of Viogner. All were delicious, as we're the complimentary warm bread, feta and olives pre-starters. We personally found the food to be much be better than comparable offerings in Angel (Mem & Laz, Galipolli etc.) and the service was much better. The staff at Pera are incredibly friendly, the service is fast and the food is well above average at a very reasonable price. We'll certainly go back.
