Having just entertained 4 colleagues for a business lunch I was appalled at the lack of basic management and customer service skills, particularly the approach of the Manager and Customer Services representative (Tanya Donhou?) Having started our meal, we first encountered dirty drinking glasses as well as poorly washed cutlery. This aside the main issue arose when we came to pay the bill and we were rudely told that our card had been declined. Knowing that there was more than enough funds available, we asked for the card to be tried again, and it was again declined. We presented a second card which was also declined, at which point we were treated as criminals, despite our business attire! We urged the Manager (incredibly rude and unpolished) to check the machine. After much embarrassment to me and my group, the Manager checked the machine and finally the original card worked! We did not receive any apology and when we asked to speak to the customer services manager, we were made to wait 20 mins. She simply dismissed our complaint as a technical issue and did not even offer any form of complimentary voucher or other apology. This I think over all is a mis-managed branch. Our office of 150 people is based across the street from Prezzo and we have often encountered the rather lazy and uncouth Manager, but for us this is the last straw. I very much hope, for the sake of Prezzo Plc and all of its stakeholders, they will have this matter investigated.
