Bullet occupies a section of the extreme-sports Snow & Rock shop in Covent Garden, so it’s appropriate that you have to climb three flights of stairs to find this gem of a café. There’s no lift – that would be cheating – but the trek is worth the effort for the coffee alone. The firm sources its own organic fair-trade beans and roasts them itself (you can buy packets of beans here or online). The result is a dark, rich black coffee (or flavoursome flat white) that put a spring in our step for the schlep down the stairs. The food menu is limited. Of the two main choices (own-made beef lasagne and quiche of the day), the quiche was finished. A selection of baguettes and bagels was available for toasting. We couldn’t resist the anzac biscuits (made from oats and golden syrup; such biscuits were sent by Australian women to their men in World War I). They came as big as your hand and were deliciously crunchy. Still, we’d have preferred healthier options. The only real nod to the ‘health and fitness’ nature of the shop was a big glass bowl full of fresh fruit.

I took break from shopping, climbed the stairs and had a great flat white with some carrot cake. Even better though I found out while I was there that they have a new cafe in Clapham, The Roastery. Genius. Now I don't have to go all the way into Covent Garden for a decent coffee.
Although climbing the stairs i do moan a little but i know whats waiting for me and thats the best carrot cake i have tasted so i put my feet up relax on the sofa put up my do not disturd sign and enjoy!
I am a coffeeholic and Bullet coffee is simply the best! Full of flavour....tastes as wonderful as it smells! I am also addicted to chocolate brownies and these from the Bullet Cafe were the best brownies I think I have ever had! Highly recommended :)
