I have been here a number of times and the food is really delicious. The menu is good value and clientel are very typical of what you expect in Chiswick. The staff are very friendly and very customer focused. A real plus is that this pub is very dog friendly so you can have a fantastic meal and include the whole family. I really cannot fault this place it is one of my favourite gastropubs in the whole of London. Please don't change. I don't understand why the manager has been criticised. I would describe her a real professional. In my view she is efficient and polite! I look forward to my next visit.

My first visit on 19/05/2012 accompanied by a friend. The bar is spacious, and clean. We ordered Char coup de bouef, and big chips with kale, and mixed leaf salad. The meat was definitely marinated, and cooked to perfection...this was gourmet ! the chips which were served in a hot small pot were equally delicious. The wine is somewhat expensive, however the glasses were warm as they should be, and CLEAN. With the competition of the "cheap pub grub" the quality is superior. This meal for two came to £61.00 approx, including the wine which was £18.00 approx. The waiter Michele was very pleasant, and efficient. I will return to sample the £5.00 meal deal which is usually served up to 17.00. Quite an enjoyable experience indeed 4 stars: taking in to consideration the surrounding competition..somewhat expensive.

Going downhill I am afraid. Prices are rocketing and the new female manager is not what you would call friendly. I've been a customer since it opened but I more often walk on by these days. Shame, it used to be very good.
