Voluptuous folds of colourful gelato undulate across Scoop’s freezer cabinet like rows of love handles. If you can settle on just one, you’re possibly not human. Scoop has been wowing Londoners with first-rate gelato since its first slip of a shop opened in Covent Garden. Expansion has been slow and modest; now there’s also an appealing Soho parlour (with more tables) and another in South Ken.
Flavours are classic Italian (biscotto, fiordilatte, malaga, pistachio), but made from brag-worthy ingredients including Tonda Gentile hazelnuts from Piedmont, Sicilian black cherries and a changing range of single-origin chocolates and coffees. It’s always hard to resist the cioccolato extra fondente sorbet, which is super-dark rather than bitter in taste and far smoother than a chocolate bar. Sugar seekers should try the coconut gelato. We like the choice of cones and friendly service too. There are a few sweet pies, cakes and meringues in the window, and you can also order crêpes, waffles and vegan churros.

Great gelato and sorbet's. The salted caramel was fantastic and friends melon sorbet was good. Keep it up and we will be back on our next trip to London
I was a little disappointed by Scoop. I went to its Soho branch and there was not much choice of flavours. Its ice cream tastes pretty much like any good ice cream you can find in Italy but it is not really innovative. However it stands out for its amazing choice of cones (I am so glad I got the chocolate and coconut one!) and it's nice that you can get ice cream with crepes, waffles and brownies. I haven't tried the cakes but they look very good. Nevertheless I prefer Gelupo not only texture wise but also because of its more innovative choice of flavours.
Hi Tony, We do apologise for your bad experience at Scoop. We take every piece of feedback personally and will do all we can to resolve the problem. Please email your concerns to firstname.lastname@example.org. Kindest Regards, The Scoop Team
I sent a complaint via Scoop's main website BUT have not heard anything back all week. Looks like their customer service/ head office don't give a damn about customers either (something reflected in their Covent Garden branch). Can't comment on the Soho branch since I've never been there
Just visited this branch of Sccoops due to the good reviews on Google BUT to my dismay, the experience was so so bad. I will NEVER return and advise anyone thinking of going to save your money and go elsewhere. There are plenty of better places within the same area for Gelato or pastries etc As for the gelato itself, it wasn't bad nor was it great. Just tasted like any other gelato I've had. Nothing spectacular. And the service? That is the sole reason why I will never return. They seemed extremely lazy and uninterested. It's like a fast food joint, hurry up with your order. Don't ask us too many questions and here's your gelato. Good day. Staff were rude too. No one replies when u say hello, nor do they acknowledge u when you leave Please be aware there are NO toilet facilities either and I am disabled. Plus we had 2 kids with us.
We had Churros with chocolate dip. It was totally fatty and the service was very slow and disorganised. We did not have gelato but there were many cups with half left gelato on the uncleaned tables so we did not want to order them. We definitely would not go back there. Very unsatisfying.
Completely below my expectations: the ice cream aspect is to unnatural and too firm, and the flavours' taste too standard. Deinitely Gelupo and La Gelatiera are by far better.
A very cozy place to date or just relax. It is in a small lane so very quite and peaceful, especially in the evening. And about the ice cream, there is no other word to say except for "wonderful". I really love the true taste of them.
Best ice cream shop in London! Their pistachio ice-cream is incredible! Hazelnut and bacio flavours are also excellent.
Best ice cream in London. Real pistacchio, with no dodgy green food colouring added. 10 minutes of happiness.
I went in today, there was no one serving, no one behind the counter. After a long wait and nearly leaving someone finally popped out. They wanted to charge me £4 for one scoop of ice cream, so I declined and left. Ridiculous prices, just awful.
