really fresh fish, amazing mouth watering sashimi and good prices for such excellent dishes! Highly recommended!

Sushi Lover

Firstly let me say - Sushi Say is an outstanding restaurant. That is why its packed, every night, with locals, japanese who know and travel here and the occasional celeb. I find some of the comments here rather baffling, but look closely and it seems the negative ones are written by the same person! Anyway, don't listen. I've been going to Sushi Say for many years, in fact its one of the only places I will go back to time after time. Service is excellent, always well staffed, attentive, friendly and efficient. The food is top draw, with the best of it being the raw cuts. I'm not sure will not find better Sashimi, in huge portions (2cm thick tranches of Toro) for what is I think a decent price, anywhere in London, and I've eaten at Matsuri and other top restaurants for double the price. In fact I think I'll go tomorrow...

Yoshi Tanaka

I am japanese. I have to say I was disappointed, even if the food is fresh, the amount is to laugh about, and believe me we have small portions in Japan, I ordered Moriawase Tempura and Ebi which translates into vegetable and prawn, for an outrageous 23 pounds I got 3 vegetable pieces and 2 prawns. What is this?!?!, when you offer less and less and drive prices higher every time, you basically kill the economy and make it impossible for anyone to enjoy anything. There are better places for the quality they serve and absolutely better quantities. Stay away.

Been here 4 times and yes the service is a bit up and down BUT the Sushi is awesome!!! It is all about the quality of the rice and how well prepared, the appropriate amount of wasabi and the serving temperature , to which on all occassions my sushi has been served to an extremely high and consistent standard. If you are a Sushi nutter , this is the place for you. Other menu items are ok and good but Sushi is where it is head and shoulders above many wannabes

Great food, great service. I go to Sushi-say at least once a month and have never experienced bad service. Highly recommended

Many happy Sundays spent heading to Sushi-Say for lunch, a warm welcome and excellent food for a very reasonable price.

I just ate the Tempura Udon as the reviewer describes and its the best I've tasted - and I've been to Japan. The broth was so tasty and the batter so crispy. Also I had the seafood dumplings - also delicious. I was by myself and walked in off the street at 7pm and got a stool seat, but had to be out by 8pm because of another booking, but service was very fast. The 2 dishes and a Asahi costed 20 pounds.

I have been going to Sushi-Say for years now and it is still, I think, the best sushi place in London. I have traveled all over Japan and what you get in Sushi-say is very close to what you get over there. I always look forward to going to eat there but you will need to book in advance, as it is very popular. I hope this review helps! Enjoy!
