Just had to call the police to sort out a dispute with the bill! Have been coming here for the last 10 years for our wedding anniversary....... Always been amazing. Cannot believe the treatment we have just been subjected to!! The head waiter who claimed to be the manager was so rude! Must have been approached about 6 times whilst eating our main course to see if we had finished..... I was still holding my knife and fork! Food mediocre , have cut back on extras like prawn crackers and the dishes were cold and were missing half the ingredients that made Tamnag special before. Last straw was when we said we wanted to settle the bill as we were fed up with being asked to finish! Said we would pay for what we had eaten . They locked us in until we were forced to call the police who were totally on our side. They had been called out the night before for the same reason. This is not a hate email.... We are reasonable people ... But please take heed! Nasty people who are only interested in taking you money....... Not the same place that we have been using in the past and certainly will not be using again. I recommend this place all the time to clients....... Not any more..... NO STARS ...Avoid at all costs!!!!

A magical, family-run establishment in London’s Crystal Palace, Tamnag Thai Restaurant has been serving up authentic cuisine since 1988. Outside, the Tamnag Thai Restaurant has a rich purple exterior decorated with flower boxes and plenty of potted plants, but step inside and you'll discover a candlelit dining room filled with Buddha statues, colourful upside down parasols and exotic cocktails. Each dish at Tamnag Thai is exquisitely presented, and dining here is a real treat whatever the occasion. Acclaimed as one of London’s leading restaurants, and certified by the Royal Thai government as offering authentic Thai cuisine and hospitality, this restaurant offers a memorable dining experience for Londoners and visitors from out of town alike.

When was this Time Out review written?? Must have been back in 1988!! Have just had lunch and it was beyond awful. Tempura prawns had a thick bread like coating as you would expect from the frozen food department of a cheap supermarket, Nasty! Red Thai curry, barely recognisable, with a thick, tasteless sauce. Sticky rice clearly microwaved ,with a hard lump in the middle. Time Out review is like some sort of a joke.... And certified by the Thai Government, are you kidding? Do they have shares in it? The description of the decor is the only thing you got right! Bloody Awful!
Superb Thai restaurant. Great food, excellent service and a really nice atmosphere. You will be hard pressed to find a better Tahi restaurant in London. The prawn toast and Pad Thai are particularly recommended.
