The Gallery Cafe is nice and convenient to my office for the occassional meeting with a client or the occassional evening event. The food is a bit overpriced but they do have tasty cupcakes. Service is a bit hit and miss and the staff are sometimes not the friendliest...

I can’t understand how this place seems to be always full. Although the ambiance is quite nice, with big room and outside area, the staff always seems to be in a bad mood. Some of the times I went the meal took forever to be ready, and not once it was truly good – it is because of places like this that people think vegetarian/vegan food has no taste.
The idea of a community café is really nice but after a few tries I definitely gave up on the place.

Great atmosphere, friendly service, delicious vegan food. A local community treasure.

My friend and I were slightly apprehensive at the idea of going in a vegan cafe - however we had no need to be concerned as this whole experience was perfectly on point. This cafe could easily be like your friend's house with a magical, bunting-ridden, green garden out the back that feels a million miles from the city of London that is in fact just down the road! There is also indoors seating and a few tables out the front with a church view. I ordered a curry, whilst my friend had the shepherds pie - there was some delay in service between the two dishes arriving - but both were presented excellently and tasted divine. My meat loving friend even said she would happily give up meat if all veggie food tasted that good!

A beautiful cafe with a lovely terrace and garden, great food and delicious coffee. Unfortunately the friendly efforts of some staff are overshadowed by an extremely unfriendly member of staff who makes you want to apologies for placing and order in the first place. Sadly, she ruins the entire atmosphere of Gallery Cafe and I will be sure to avoid the place when she is around.

Really nice place and very informal environment. It serves excellent coffee and food is generally good even if you are not vegetarian.
