This attractive looking room at The Rubens at The Palace is where diners can enjoy the hotel's afternoon tea. It's a popular choice, and with views out across the Royal Mews of Buckingham Palace there's a swish vista to accompany the tea.
In keeping with the venue and hotel, afternoon tea here is as traditional as they come. Expect, then, finger sandwiches, scones (your choice from six, including buttermilk, traditional or white chocolate and lavender), fancy looking patisserie and a range of teas, including darjeeling, Earl Grey and masala chai.
Champagne and tea cocktails are also available. Keep an eye out for seasonal teas, too.
The pastry kitchen at The Rubens is led by our talented head pastry chef, Nell, producing the freshest pastries and cakes for our guests to enjoy. With a reputation as one of the best in London, and recently commended at the Afternoon Tea Awards 2016, we pay respect to the traditional of afternoon tea whilst incorporating fresh twists along the way. We also cater for a range of dietary requirements.
At The Rubens, we believe everyone should enjoy afternoon tea, so have adapted the traditional menu to suit every little prince and princess. Treats include freshly made bite-size sandwiches, freshly baked scones, selected pastries and a choice of milkshake, hot chocolate, tea or soft drink.
Afternoon tea is very popular for celebrations, especially for those hosting a baby shower, birthday or hen party. And where better to celebrate than close to Buckingham Palace, which has also enjoyed the excitement of weddings and babies in recent times.
With a reputation as one of London's best, we pay respect to the traditional of afternoon tea whilst incorporating fresh twists along the way.
