Enter Bloomsbury's North Sea and you instantly feel you've been beamed out of London and transported to a quaint, old-fashioned seaside town. The cosy room is lined with dark wooden tables, and plastic table settings display drawings of various fish found on the menu.
A huge seafood platter was plenty for two to share; battered goujons of cod, haddock and plaice were served with deep-fried sardines, calamares and scampi - all with chips, of course.
