On a Friday night, Rodizio Rico is the culinary equivalent of the Rio carnival. Heaving bodies clog the entrance, hungry diners chill over Brahma beers at the bar, gangs samba up to the buffet to grab some rice, beans and farofa (manioc flour), and the meat waiters dash about serving cuts from their swords.
It's surprisingly fun; the staff keep coming with newly grilled bites, and even find time to chat.
The buffet is easy to overdo. As well as the aforementioned staples, there are salads, pickles and croquettes filled with imprecise vegetable matter. Better to wait for the delicious prime ribeye, chicken hearts, sweet and spicy sausage and the roast lamb.
Desserts are sugary and superfluous. At a fixed, eat-all-you-can £20.50 it's no bargain, but for a lively feast Rodizio Rico is hard to beat.

Facilities
Babies and children welcome ( booster seats; high chairs ), Booking advisable, Disabled ( toilet ), Vegetarian menuI do not recommend to anybody, the waiters are always grumpy and always unhappy, the cuts of meat aren't great and the sad thing is that everytime my husband and I went we always got disappointed, I have taken friends and family to the O2 branch and was left with bad impression, even more shameful because I'm brazilian and in Brazil the quality is million times better and the staff are much happier and the cuts of meat are much tastier, I made complaints before and only got a negative response, much better to go to Gaucho Grill, it's more expensive but at list you get for what you pay for and the waiters are nice and appreciate the good use of customer service, I hope the Head management for the Rodizio Rico chain read this review and perhaps ask people to fill in comments cards, so he or she will be able to make some changes, I'm not the only one I have met lots of people with the same negative experience in other branches, also time out got the write up wrong and is South American ( Brazilian food with some Afro-brazilian recipes added to ), I'm not wasting my money ever there again.
Long story short: Upper Street branch, crappy, rude service. Waited forever for our drinks, our waiter was stoned or just very obtuse. We had to before the next table arrives, but it took them so long to print the damn bill, we wasted another half hour sorting it out! We asked that we just get another bill printed so we can speed it up and was refused and rudely reprimanded. I thought it was the security gaurd we where talking to, and it turned out to be the manager!!
Shocking.
We where then called back, because we didn't pay a drinks bill (another one, which was seperate, but not presented to us at time of paying). We explained this and that started a huge argument with "bouncer / manager".
Never again man. The food wasn't even that great! Overcooked, cheap meats, rude waiters running back and fro, nobody explaining how we should order / how the system works.
Restaurant was loud and chaotic and not a very nice ambience.
Just rubbish and totally over priced for what you get. Give it a wide berth.
