'Dri Dri' is an affectionate diminutive of Adriano, the Italian proprietor, who's usually to be found behind the long marble counter and its 20 silvery pozzetti lids that hide the gelato and sorbet from view.
All ices are made in-house, with organic milk (in the gelato) and without the use of artificial additives: the pistachio is a natural creamy-beige colour, for instance, rather than vivid green. A few of the flavours were too sweet for our taste, but the deep ruby-red French cherry sorbet, when paired with the astringent Sorrento lemon sorbet, was just right; and the crema 'dri dri' (the house special) was a decadent, velvet-smooth cream with swirls of sesame caramel.
Dri Dri's popularity has led to a second outlet in Chelsea Farmers' Market, and a pop-up summer shop in Covent Garden (check the website for news of a repeat).

I totally agree with the previous review and I'm glad to see that user's reviews are not deleted.
The gelato is one of the worst I have ever had in my life.
I've only tried it once but every time I visit the market I never see a lot of customers in there either.
A note on the owner, I think that instead of "propping up the long marble counter", he's more on his laptop waiting to chat up every single girl that comes in the shop, offering his mobile number.
I found that gross, and I can't believe they opened two more shops (!)
Have you really tried this "gelato" before writing this review?
It's like slightly frozen water that melts in about 3 seconds on your cone. Almost flavourless.
I live in Portobello and I barely see anyone in there.
I'm one of them.
Try Scoop in covent garden/soho and then let me know what you think....
I think the Dri Dri owner has watched the Apprentice UK a lot and concluded that Londoners will pay any stupid price for a modicum of quality and taste. It may be true, but I'm not going to participate. Ciao.
