This quaint market stretches over Deptford High Street and Griffin Street up to the junction with Douglas Way. Enthusiastic local tradesmen create a vibrant community feel and keep these otherwise ‘normal’ streets lively and diverse between 9am and 5pm three days a week. Flea market devotees and students from neighbouring campuses mingle around the Griffin-Douglas area, where you’ll find bargain clothing, shoes, vintage magazines and books, second hand electronics, scattered food stalls and colourful murals. On Deptford High Street the feel is different and the shops and stalls are ideal for affordable home products, African-Caribbean goodies, fresh meat and fish.
