Time Out says
Tue Nov 30 1999
The east London outlet for the celebrated farm-based butcher of rare breed meats that came to national attention via Borough Market in the late 1990s. You’ll find cuts from longhorn cattle, Swaledale and Black Face sheep, Gloucester Old Spot and Tamworth pigs, plus own-made bacon, sausages, pork pies and terrines. All the meat comes from animals that have been raised to a high standard of welfare. There’s also an excellent deli downstairs, with sausage rolls, handmade pies and cooked meats, as well as non-meat fodder such as Neal’s Yard cheeses, fresh veg, olives, fish, bread, quiches, chutneys and decent wine and beer.
