The original Modfather – of fashion at least – John Simons celebrated 60 years in the business this summer (2015). Back in the swinging decade a 15-year-old Simons began taloring suits for family friends under the name Far Out Tailoring, and by 1969 he had his first shop. In the following decades the pioneering gent brought America's Ivy League suited-and-booted look to London and even named the Harrington jacket (after fictional character Rodney Harrington). Today you can still get these distinctive looks in Simons store, which stocks authentic vintage clothes, as well as the eponymous John Simons Apparel.

Iconic, inspiring , with a great selection of wonderful garments AND perhaps the finest soundtrack of any shop in London
A wonderful shopping experience each and every visit. An original retail space with art works, books and thoughtfully presented clothing displays and sophisticated jazz always playing in the background, stocked with clothes chosen with taste beyond compare. Their own brand John Simons Apparel Company items cannot be bought anywhere else and for these alone a visit is highly recommended.
