One of Whistles’s larger stores, this branch has three floors, the lower dedicated to sale items. The brand has traditionally had a loyal following among well-heeled women looking for feminine, practical styles. With its floaty fabrics and eclectic mix of separates, the overall feel is a sort of suburban Bohemia. Prices are higher than the usual high street outlet but, with an emphasis on quality and finishing, these well-made pieces should last a lifetime. Staple items include blouses in soft fabrics, loose knits, drop-waist gathered skirts and pencil skirts. As well as its own label, this impressive flagship stocks others such as Antik Batik, Michael Stars, Odd Molly, Pink Soda and Diablesse. Prices start from around £60 for knitwear, £100 for dresses and £195 for coats.
