An inspiring, German-owned independent bookshop specialising in art, architecture and photography tomes. Koenig's first London branch is based in the Serpentine Gallery, and the other is the newest addition to the capital's traditional literary artery - Charing Cross Road. The latter shop is done out stylishly in black and every book is given respectful prominence - products are displayed with their covers rather than spines facing customers to ensure their full effect. Both branches of Koenig have full access to the stock of mammoth arts bookshop Buchhandlung Walther Koenig in Cologne, so can order you just about anything you can think of.
