This old-school apothecary, specialising in natural beauty products and health remedies, from oils and balms to herbs, has been open on the Walworth Road since 1844, making it one of London's oldest herbalists; there were originally 12 branches, but this is the only remaining shop. Swing by for top-notch dispensing advice and you might bump into long-time customers Michael Caine or Terence Stamp. Products include health tinctures, supplements, barks and flower remedies. You can also buy soap-making mould kits (£40.99, makes six bars) and a range of unfragranced Baldwin bases to make your own face creams, shampoos or shower gels. The Synergy Range is based on the finest quality essential oils combined with luxurious carrier oils.
