Michele Pernetta was the first teacher to bring Bikram 'hot' yoga to the UK, having trained under the technique's founder, Bikram Choudhury, at his LA school. She now has six schools across London specialising in 'Fierce Grace', a fusion of Bikram, Hatha and Astanga yoga, the most recent of which opened in Brixton in December 2014.

Really pretentious studio, the staff on the front desk are unhelpful/ not friendly and can not answer questions about yoga or even about what classes are coming up. The teachers are patronising, it is basically just Bikram with a few more postures added. There are no vinyasa flows, it is still a really regimented sequence with no thought or flow for moving in-between. For anyone who wants to better their practise this is not the hot yoga studio for you, it is just a rebranded Bikram with a bad attitude. • • •
