To go with their new season of ancient Greek theatre, Islington's Almeida Theatre hosts a festival of events - talks, readings and performances - all of which work alongside the themes and ideas thrown up in the plays. There's an entire reading of the Iliad, which takes place at various venues including the British Museum (Friday 14 August), talks from the likes of Bijan Sheibani (Sunday 6 September) and Charlotte Higgins (Thursday October 22) and performances from the likes of drag artist Dickie Beau (Friday 11 September) and Early Opera Company (Sunday 4 October). There's a mix of live music and art too as well as a walking night-time cultural journey with Inua Ellams (Saturday 18 July).
