By Lazarus Theatre Company - Apr 23 2012

King Lear as you have never seen it before... A Woman now Holds the Title of King.
Divided by love, jealousy and betrayal, Lear is forced into a world of isolation, a barbarous land in which a mother must fight her own daughters in order to survive. A Queen, a mother and the most famous female monarch of all time... Lear.

Lazarus returns to Shakespeare for one of the most epic of all the tragedies. Through the use of ensemble, text, music and movement a large company of over twenty actors shall create a world re-imagined, where a female monarch clings to her identity, throne and Kingdom.
