The Blackheath Fireworks night is one of the city's few major displays that remain free to attend, so it's no wonder as many as 100,000 people turn up each year. Though Lewisham Council are happy to treat us to it, donations towards the costs of running the event are welcomed, with collections on the night should you forget to donate online. The display kicks off at 8pm, but the event also features a funfair (from midday) and food and drink stalls (from 4.30pm).

I swear it was ABSOLUTELY STUNNING FIREWORK DISPLAY of the year 2013 !!! The weather was really windy and. But everybody enjoyed watching the startling firework in the sky.Thank you.
dont even think of catching a bus or driving there - best way is to catch a train to Blackheath, Lewisham or Greenwich and allow around 20 mins walk from Lewisham or Greenwich and 15 mins from Blackheath it gets gridlocked around the area from 6.30 - 7pm it is a fantastic display and well worth the effort to get there early! tow fab pubs on the heath - the Princess Louise and the Hare and Billet
One of the oldest and most spectacular firework displays in London with towering award-winning displays, a friendly swaying Ooooh-Ahhh-ing crowd, mulled wine, a fair, it's kid friendly and more importantly, there's loads of space. Overlooking the rest of London's firework displays beneath a huge wide sky, this is pretty impossible to beat.
