Time Out says

The Royal Opera House and Covent Garden Piazza become even more entertaining than usual thanks to this trio of day-long festivals. Explore the ROH itself with interactive tours, musical theatre singalongs, dance workshops and Operaoke, or experience the modern side of classical music at the Nonclassical Club Night (Sep 5). There'll be demonstrations and performances from the likes of Little Angel theatre's puppets, dancers from The Royal Ballet, eccentric ensemble Wet Picnic and anarchic company Hocus Pocus Theatre.

The piazza will buzz with colourful and curious performances. Romeo scales buildings, roofs and balconies looking for his Juliet, an enormous woman lifts her skirts to reveal a full theatre, 'Carmen' is told from nearby shop windows and five supermarket trolleys perform a ballet. Most events are free but places can be reserved on the Royal Opera House website, where you'll also find times for specific performances.
