Dishoom café brings the fun-filled festival of Holi to the East End for a family-friendly day of food, storytelling, music and art. The festival, which takes place in India every March, heralding the start of spring, sees revellers smear each other’s faces with gulal (brightly coloured powder), and chase one another around, transforming the area into a riot of colour. You'll be welcomed with a warming, spicy chai, then listen to stories about the legend of Holi, told by Vayu Naidu, before the distribution of the gulal and a chance to paint yourself in mesmerising hues.
