Photographs and videos documenting remnants of the colonialism in Sudan – from the Ottoman, Egyptian, and British periods. The result of research conducted by Frederique Cifuentes, the exhibition looks at the mechanics of empire through official buildings, private residencies, cinemas, railways, irrigation canals and bridges, highlighting colonial architecture, design and construction and their impact on Sudanese society, and how the buildings have been appropriated since independence in 1956 .
