Time Out says

If you want to learn to knit, get better or simply enjoy a good woolly challenge then you should get involved with this refugee aid project. Either go online and download a pattern and knit at home (free/ £4/ £5) or head to one of Knit Aid's workshops (£40) where you’ll receive all the help you need as well as a whole kit including 15mm needles, a large sewing needle, knitting patterns and two balls of super chunky Crazy Sexy Wool by Wool and the Gang. You can chose between knitting a snood or taking on the challenge of a chunky hat, one ball of wool makes three hats or two snoods and you can choose weather to donate all your creations or keep one for yourself. The workshops, which take place in Putney and Kings Cross, have limited spaces so book in advance if you'd like to take part.
