This meaty food fest is a carnivalesque, cornucopia of carnivorous delights. London's hunger for protein shows no sign of waning so for its fourth year this celebration of butchery and booze will include an opening night of music combined with, yep, you guessed it, hulking slabs of meat. Expect 25 chefs creating bespoke dishes live every day, whole roasted beasts, trucker caps, fun music, dancing, a dedicated craft beer section and live demos. Names this year include Francis Mallmann, Yotam Ottolenghi, the Hoppers team, Ramuel Scully and more. Tickets do not include any food and the queues can be hefty, so make sure to arrive early, with your ‘meatbuck’ tokens in hand, if you've got your carnivorous eye on one dish in particular.

Had a GREAT day. Alex was wrong. Ticket included masses of food and drink and a decent goody bag. Didn't pay a penny in there. Dario's butchery demo was brilliant. Came out pleasantly drunk and stuffed. Brilliant venue, great food and good beer and cider. If you go next year, get the expensive ticket!

The price doesn't include most of the food, either, and none of the drinks. Just admission and two small plates from the huge range on offer. Most people would need to spend massively more than that to get a decent meal, and if you've already invested £50 on entry, you'll hardly hold back on getting any benefit. This will be eye-wateringly expensive. If you want to spend £100 on lunch, there are far better places to do so, surely?

Love BBQ but the price for this event is CRAZY! I mean...are the organizers for real?

Last year it was absolutely brilliant, had a fab day with plenty of extra drinking and dancing after the food was long gone. We even got to hang out and chat with some of the chefs.

This year everything shut dead on 7pm (we went on Sunday both times). No opportunity for a few extra drinks or some dancing in any of the bars, and no chance to chat with anyone as the stands were so busy throughout the day... Don't know why the changed the format, the day was still good (great food etc) but getting rushed out as soon as they stopped serving food took away some of the fun from the previous year.

Long queues for any of the popular dishes. You can get much better food elsewhere for the £80-100 per head this costs.

For those complaining about the ticket price this is a festival. Would you expect free food when you pay for a music festival? And while acts do not match what you would expect from most festivals we are looking forward to Jazzie B and The Gents today. Anyway I have been for the last 3 years with my wife (who is vegetarian) and it one of our favourite days of the year. Highly highly recommend (and I have nothing to do with the organisers). Off now to stuff myself with Meat and hope that the day lives up to previous years

I do love a good BBQ, but at this price? What a  rip off !! £30 for a standard ticket which DOESN'T include food or drink!

Price is more than I'd like to pay, but the atmosphere and food are amazing. Best BBQ I've ever been too.

£31.50 for entrance only tickets (and they have the nerve to charge a booking fee on top of this!) Complete rip off! I have no idea who would pay to go to this!

£30 for a standard ticket which DOESN'T include food or drink!

£5 for a small taster plate??

What a rip off

Had such a great day last year and soooo looking forward to this year. I'd highly recommend going along to the event and judging for yourself. Got loads included in the ticket and the food was outstanding. Entertainment was fun too. I wish I had arrived earlier to sample more, won't make that mistake again...

The reviews from Stuart and Tim are obviously from the organisers. Avoid this event. The other negative reviews are accurate in my experience. I visited on the Sunday this year and you got no food or drink for the price of your entry ticket - about £35 from memory. You then had to pay an additional £5 for every small taster size portion. Complete rip off. The food was crap on the whole and the portions were tiny. The whole event felt like a complete con and left me and my friends feeling like we had been taken advantage of. Avoid.

I noticed they cut the tri-tip wrong in the third photo.  You are supposed to cut against the grain not with the grain. You don't want a bunch of meat strings stuck in your teeth after you eat.

Heard about this event and wanted to go until I checked out their prices! Ridiculous! RIP OFF!
