Shuffle Festival is back for 2015, popping up at Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park with a programme bursting with film, performances, art, science, storytelling, food, comedy and more. The festival which began its life in an abandoned psychiatric hospital a few years ago was masterminded by Danny Boyle who will be taking part in Q&A sessions across the nine days this time around. Now set in the 31 acre Victorian cemetery, the programme is themed around movement, migration and place. Film screenings include 'The Godfather Part II', 'Dirty Pretty Things', 'The Beach', 'Sexy Beast', 'Paris,Texas' and 'Lost in Translation'. Guests in search of fabulous gastronomy can climb up into the branches of the woodland to dine in the Symbiosis Treehouse Restaurant where three courses prepared by chef India Hamilton will be served, with a number of the dinners boasting guest speakers. Other highlights include a drawing workshop within the woods from Art Macabre ( July 26), walking tours through the park, and live music in the Pavilion. Art Macabre - Circus Skeletons This death drawing theme had less nudity than usual and required furious quick drawing to capture all the details of the three models - burly man with strength, woman with feathers and a naked mime... colourful, yet surprisingly eery on paper. Lots of fun for the mind!
