Dara O Briain: Craic Dealer

Try to ignore the dismal pun in the title (even if it ties into one of the Irish comic's extended skits) and put yourself in the hands of a master for an hour's top quality stand-up. The 'Mock the Week' host is in top form in this 2012 performance at the Edinburgh Playhouse in 2012, showing off his ever-impressive skills at audience interaction along with his customary musings on science, scaring off burglars and stories that could replace the school Nativity play.

It's no easy matter to ally broad appeal to genuinely intelligent comedy (McIntyre, anyone?), but O Briain is able to tickle the funny bone and massage the brain cells with consummate ease. Good craic, without a doubt.
