The grande dame of the comedy world, Hils Jago runs her clubs with military precision. The bills are invariably strong with big names such as Bill Bailey, Noel Fielding and Eddie Izzard justifying the club's multi-award-winning status. Jago also has a lot of special guests who can't be named ? in other words really top names trying out some new material ? and runs the annual Amused Moose Laugh Offs, a competition whose past finalists have included Jimmy Carr and Simon Amstell.

We were walking in to this place and heard some very disgruntled patrons walking out. One of them kept shouting, "who do you think the client is?". Seemed like the management had no clue on how to treat their guests and there was an old lady who kept on harassing people to pull out their cash for payment. As soon as we heard about the experience of the guys who left, we decided to leave. Saved from the dodgy management! Phew!

This place is awful, from the minute we got there it lacked professionalism. The bouncer outside would not even let people in 10 mins prior to the show, even people had booked tickets in advanced. To add to the distress once inside a mad hatter of a woman was barking at the queue to get cash out and be ready to pay for tickets. Very distasteful, crude and unnecessary. Once downstairs on being practically forced to hand over our coats to the cloakroom (at which point I had no confidence when I would get it back), I simply refused to put up with the distasteful rudeness and demanded a refund. Overall a shoddy establishment with an even insane level management. The only comedy I experience here is that the place is still running. Don't waste your money or time. boo!

After hearing and reading great things about the amused moose i was looking forward to my first visit to this comedy club. However, Hils Jago and some of her stuff were incredibly rude to my friends just because they did not want to check their coats and so we decided to leave. She became offensive and disrespectful as we asked for our money back, finally saying that we 'must be American' because we weren't putting up with her imperious manner- and we are all British! For a fun night out, do NOT go here.
