The only modernist house open to the public, the National Trust property of 2 Willow Road is the former family home of the architect Ernö Goldfinger, who designed it, and remains unchanged since 1939. The house was designed to be flexible, with movable partitions and folding doors. Home to Goldfinger and his wife until their deaths, it contains a charmingly idiosyncratic collection of art by the likes of Max Ernst and Henry Moore. Viewing of 2 Willow Road is by tours at 11am, noon, 1pm and 2pm and free-flow access 3-5pm. The ground floor is wheelchair accessible (wheelchair users can view the rest of the house on film). The house also organises a programme of walks.
