Parasol Unit

This former warehouse (adjacent to Victoria Miro) has been beautifully converted by architect Claudio Silverstrin into an exhibition space spanning two floors and a reading area. The gallery's run as a not-for-profit organization, receiving private funding due to its charitable status. Parasol Unit's schedule consists of three to four exhibitions a year in a variety of media: sculpture, painting, installation, video and photography, including some specifically commissioned works by international contemporary artists, major-league figures such as Robert Mangold and a range of thought-provoking group shows.
