BAR MUSIC HALL IS FAB!!!
Thursday 10th May 2007 Filthy Few LIVE! & Transparent Magazine w/ THE REAL HEAT; FLORENCE & THE MACHINE; BURMESE DAYS
Plus DJ support from QUEENS OF NOIZE; FIRAS & CHRISTIAN K + FUN BONGO.
@ Bar Music Hall, Curtain Rd East London
Filthy Few Podcast No.15 out now; itunes or
www.myspace.com/filthyfewuk
My experience was pretty pleasant, we headed down for Filthy Few and saw 3 top notch bands plus some fine DJ's. There was no common music policy which is always good, expect to hear everything!
We were surprised that the bar manager told us that we are not their type of guests. YOU DO NOT RUN a business like this with half empty common bar.
We have been living in Hoxton for 5 years; have never been told that we are not qualified to go into a common bar to say happy Birthday to our friend.
Look at the manager himself (peasant look) plus old fashioned draconian doorwhore makes me laugh out. I would say that they dressed like only been in London / Shoreditch for few months, have not seen many people like us (none white no wig) from where they came from outside London.
Anyway, when we got in after 5 mins, just want to leave. The place was half empty, music was so wishy washy, the crowed was very plain. We have no idea why they being being poncy and pretentious for.
