LIC Flea & Food will one-up its hip Brooklyn cousin this weekend with an outdoor beer garden. To celebrate its boozy debut, you can throw back pints of local beer for $2 from 4:30–5pm on Saturday and Sunday. Choose from suds made in Queens, including Rockaway Brewing Company, SingleCut Beersmiths and Finback Brewery.

Once the beer is flowing, peruse the aisles of local vendors for bites like Alobar's Big Dog topped with ginger pulled pork and pickled carrot slaw, or a buffalo chicken empanada from Jessy's. Artist Kremen—known for his larger than life warehouse-side paintings of giraffes and gorillas—will build an art installation during the event as onlookers no doubt snap Instagram shots.

This open-air market is all about showcasing the best booze and bites that Queens has to offer—with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline—so head over before the happy hour tap runs dry.

LIC Flea and Beer Garden, 5th Street at 46th Ave (licflea.com). Saturdays and Sundays, 10am–6pm; free
