We’ve heard of some pretty strange influences for ice cream, including Ben & Jerry’s SNL sketch pints, but Mikey Likes It Ice Cream has taken it even farther, dedicating a new flavor to Slim Shady.
From 4–8pm tonight, the East Village scoop shop will be hosting a release party for Eminem’s new album, SHADYXV, and offering ice cream with the same name. The double scoop ($5.50) pays homage to the rapper’s hometown, Detroit, including Michigan cherries, Sanders hot fudge and Vernors ginger ale. If you get in line early enough, you’ll also be able to pick up the double-disk album and meet hip hop supergroup Slaughterhouse (Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Royce da 5’9”), who are signed to Shady Records.
