Celebrate the rich and diverse musical heritage of Syria with this two-concert series presented by the Syrian Music Preservation Initiative (SMPI).
Taking place on Saturday, April 13 at City Lore and two weeks later on April 27 at Hungarian House, these intimate performances will feature a stellar lineup of musicians led by Artistic Director Samer Ali, including the internationally renowned MQ Dalal, who will perform traditional, acoustic chamber music from the Syrian and Arab repertoire. The sounds of the genre will be presented as they were originally performed: in a home-like setting with interaction welcome and the audience surrounding the group of musicians.
