Typically, if you were to look below these city streets, you’d find only dirty subway tunnels and rats, but Deva Spa is a subterranean cave of relaxation. An extension of curly-girl haven Devachan, this spa offers 11 types of facials (ranging from $95 to $225), ten different body massages (from $150 to $225), elaborate manicures (starting at $25) and pedicures (from $50), waxing services, sauna and steam room privileges, and more. While the treatments themselves are heavenly, the waiting rooms, complete with a giant waterfall, comfy seats and fresh fruit, make for a much-needed escape from whatever’s happening aboveground. And to ensure a “stress-less experience,” the entire spa works under a no-tipping policy, so all you have to worry about is tipping back your glass of lemon-infused water.
