Overlooking the gardens of the same name, this attractive belle époque hotel continues to beguile guests with its low-key brand of old-world charm. Rooms containing antique armoires and oak bedsteads are furnished with elegant restraint, and those facing the sea are warmed by the sunlight that streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. The breakfast room retains something of the atmosphere of a 1930s seaside hotel.
