The Romanesque turrets and arches of this building at the exit of the cemetery make it appear as old as the gravestones. In fact, the Former Ceremonial Hall was built in 1906 for the Prague Burial Society, which used the building for only 20 years. Today, it hosts fascinating temporary exhibitions on such topics as Jewish customs and traditions, focusing particularly on illness and death.
This museum is part of the Židovské Muzeum (Jewish Museum).
