If you’re in the mood to splurge this Valentine’s Day, this two-Michelin-starred restaurant with stunning views of the Marina Bay waterfront is where you should take your date. Chef-owner Emmanuel Stroobant has crafted two degustation menus for this special occasion: a five-course ($328 per person) for lunch and a seven-course ($528 per person) for dinner. Intricately prepared using the best quality ingredients, each dish is plated like a piece of art. The meal begins on a high note with a luxurious amuse bouche comprising Loiret beetroot, otoro and a generous portion of Imperial Oscietra caviar. Next, the signature Scottish langoustine is paired with Kaluga caviar and silky smooth carrot puree.

For mains, diners can pick either the Basque country wild turbot served with Oscietra caviar and menegi (young green onion shoots) or the Omi beef, matched with Shadi caviar and pink fir apple. The dessert course of Aomori apple comprises a rose-apple juice-infused Aomori apple crafted into the shape of a rose and served atop a disc of frozen tonka bean parfait, caramelised apple spheres and crisp puff pastry arlette.

The dinner menu is available on February 13 and 14, while the lunch menu is only available on Valentine’s Day.

Romance is in the air – while you’re wining and dining at Vue, that is. With its special four-course Valentine’s Day menu (from $588 per couple), it makes for a celebratory spot this February 14. This sleek restaurant is named after the French word for “view”, so you can rightfully expect a picture-perfect panorama of the city skyline. Start with a seafood platter where luxe ingredients like Oscietra caviar, uni (sea urchin), and Carabinero prawns make an appearance. Nothing says romance like oysters, and the ones here are freshly shucked Ostra Regal Irish oysters, known for their subtly sweet flavour.

You’ll then get to choose your own entree: a pan-seared Hokkadio scallop plated with smoked burrata and caviar, or a roasted Australian spatchcock with smoked foie gras. As for the main course, choose from the likes of a Burgundy chicken breast, a dry-aged alfonsino fish fillet, or beef prepared two ways: an A4 Kumamoto Black Wagyu and a grilled USDA black Agus short ribs. The meal ends with Pink Vacherin, a sweet treat with notes of raspberry lychee, pink grapefruit, and strawberry meringue.

The Valentine’s Day menu is available for dinner on February 14.
