This traditional osteria, just five minutes from the station, has recently completed its move from wine-and-snack bacaro to bona fide, evening-only restaurant. 'The Fountain' offers a range of filling trattoria dishes with a creative twist: tagliatelle with eel, gnocchi with turbot and courgettes, spezzatino (braised strips of veal) with polenta. In summer, tables line the busy canal pavement outside.
