Time Out says

South Austin's growing development The Yard officially gained a new tenant with Still Austin Whiskey Co.—the first distillery in Austin proper since Prohibition. The whiskey company has created a beautiful, spacious tasting room next to an outdoor garden where you can sip on cocktails or admire your newly purchased bottles (Still's swag is plentiful here, with everything from flasks to glasses to T-shirts). The grain-to-glass distillery, which uses locally-grown grains, is currently offering four whiskey variations: a signature New Make Whiskey (made with corn, wheat and barley), followed by three infusions of New Make, including Day Dreamer (using three types of citrus), Mother Pepper (infused with natural chile peppers) and Smoked Brisket. Sip on these whiskeys or try them in cocktail form, with a drink menu that includes the fiery Daisy Pepper using Mother Pepper Whiskey. Outside, Puli-Ra—an Indian-Texas food truck from chef Deepa Shridhar—features fusion dishes like naan croissants and roti tacos.
