Yes, SXSW 2017 is still going on strong. And yes, we don't need another reason to get even more hammered in this city than we already are right now. But if we did need a reason? St. Patrick's Day would be it. Falling on a Friday this year, St. Patrick's Day is a perfect storm of weekend shenanigans, SXSW shenanigans and thoroughly Irish shenanigans. Still figuring out your plans for the holiday? Here are five ways to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Austin this year—stay safe out there, friends.

1. Head to one of Austin's best pubs for a pint...or five. We have a couple of recommendations right here.

2. Enjoy Celtic music at Pioneer Farms. The historical park and museum offers two stages—indoor and outdoor—with a full schedule of music from 1-8pm. Tickets ($15 for adults, $5 for kids) can be purchased here

3. Shop for something green at the ABGB when the Austin Flea sets up shop in the popular beer garden. From noon-6pm, sift through jewelry, textiles, paper goods and original artwork from some of Austin's most talented artists.

4. Join Fadó's St. Patrick's Day block party with live bands, a beer garden and a cocktail station. The Irish pub is shutting down West 4th Street to make room for Austin's finest imbibers, plus music on both the patio and the street. Tickets are sold at the door; music starts at noon.

5. Listen to the Capitol City Highlanders play at Sherlock's Pub & Grill. The Highlanders are the longest active bagpipe and drumming corps in Austin, and they'll be making sweet, sweet music at Sherlock's at 8pm.
