Oh, you thought the unicorn trend was over? That unicorn bagels and unicorn ice cream and unicorn frappuccinos had made way for charcoal-everything? Put that multi-colored thought on pause. A new candy (and vegan!) shop just opened downtown, and it's serving everything from Sweet Ritual ice cream to homemade (unicorn) fudge to nostalgic candy.

Yummi Joy, an offshoot of toy store Toy Joy right next door, is a whimsical space where dairy-free ice cream is offered alongside shelves full of Hello Kitty marshmallows, floats and fudge flavors that include pumpkin spice, jalapeño pecan, orange cream, unicorn, Pride and mint chocolate. They also have an impressive selection of Japanese candy, including Hello Panda bites, Meiji chocorooms, Konpeito sugar candy and candy sushi, plus plenty of gluten, sugar-free and gelatin-free options.

Yummi Joy's collab with Sweet Ritual means that you can find the vegan ice cream shop's quirky flavors like sunflower chocolate chip, squid ink and unicorn poop; pair them with sodas like brownie caramel cream root beer and you've got yourself a solid ice cream float.

To introduce themselves to the neighborhood, Yummi Joy is hosting tasting nights both tonight and tomorrow night, when visitors can stop in starting at 6pm for free samples of vegan ice cream, fudge, candy, coffee and a few specialty creations. And yes, you're going to want to try some of that unicorn fudge. Because #instagram.
