Cue the nightmares: Alamo Drafthouse just announced a clowns-only screening of It, and we've never been more terrified to go to the movies.

On September 9, wig-donning Stephen King fans (or just people who like to dress up as clowns, because, you know, yikes) will head to the Alamo Drafthouse Mueller location, where a party at Barrel O'Fun will kick off the screening at 5:30pm. Face painters will be available for touch-ups (gotta make sure that nose is ultra-red), while a photo booth, raffles and other games will be on hand for entertainment.

The only requirement? Everyone must be dressed as a clown. The show starts promptly at 7pm, and tickets can be purchased here (though they're selling out fast!).

If you haven't been keeping up with your Stephen King news, It is the latest film adaptation of his terrifying novel published in 1986. The story takes place in a small town in Maine, where children keep disappearing as a terrifying, evil monster named Pennywise the Dancing Clown brings terror to the idyllic community.
