There's a national day for everything at this point, but we're not going to complain about National Taco Day. This year, the “holiday” falls on October 4, and in celebration Fresa's is offering free breakfast tacos on Wednesday morning. Free. Tacos. Need we say more?
The restaurant's second annual Free Breakfast Taco Day invites Austinites to both the South First and Lamar locations from 8 to 10am for a free breakfast taco of their choosing. You've got six tacos to choose from, including the Margie (steak and eggs, rajas, charred onions, flour tortilla), the Lorenzo (egg whites with spinach, black beans, avocado, cheddar, serrano, corn tortilla) and the Tricky (migas with avocado, queso fresco, cilantro, flour tortilla). Translation? You really can't go wrong.
Last year's free taco day resulted in a line around the block, so you'd be wise to get to Fresa's ahead of time. Still hungry afterwards? Stock up on some more of Austin's best tacos to fully enjoy this most sacred of holidays.
