It's the weekend! You've worked hard to get to this point, so you deserve to play hard, too. We've curated our favorite events happening around Austin for the next few days, from pop-ups to festivals to grand openings—all you have to do is round up your crew. Have a great weekend, y'all!

Fri 11

Herb Garden Workshop
Materials are provided to make your own terra cotta herb garden at Blue Owl Brewing under Martha Breed's instruction, plus a Blue Owl glass and four pours of beer to keep you well-hydrated while you work. Friday at 8pm

Fun Home
This exquisite, groundbreaking musical is drawn from cartoonist Alison Bechdel's graphic memoir about realizing her identity as a lesbian and, as a result, her father's hidden homosexuality. Friday at 8pm

Sat 12

Austin Ice Cream Festival
Brave the heat for the 11th annual Austin Ice Cream Festival, where some of the city's top ice cream spots—Amy's Ice Creams, Austin Scoops, GoodPops—dish out bowls and cones. And for the ultimate brain freeze, sign up for the half-gallon eating contest—lactose intolerance be damned! Saturday at 10am

Swallow My Pride
Start celebrating Pride Week early with Rachel Mykels, Grandma Steven, Dandy Velour, Rosa Vey and more at this party with a special performance by Austin's Dimitrius Adams. The night kicks off with DJ Kahlu at 9pm before the show starts at 10:30. Saturday at 9pm

Sun 13

Waller Creek Pub House's 3rd Annual Grand Opening
How many grand openings before it's an anniversary party? We don't know, but we're more interested in the whole pig the pub house is roasting and the special beers it's tapping for the occasion. Live music by Don Chani and Micah Shalom and the Babylonians. Sunday at noon
