It's the weekend! You've worked hard to get to this point, so you deserve to play hard, too. We've curated our favorite events happening around Austin for the next few days, from pop-ups to festivals to grand openings—all you have to do is round up your crew. Have a great weekend, y'all!

Fri 28

Babes Fest
More than 50 self-identifying women will take over The North Door, Austin Film School and Empire Control Room for three days of comedy, film, music and art at this independent festival that focuses on females in creative industries. Performers include Elizabeth Spears, Femina-X and Sailor Poon.
Friday & Saturday at various times

The Rocky Horror Show Live
If you haven't seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show, have you even truly lived? The cult classic is being performed live at the North Door by O'Brien's Orchestra, and you better believe there will be plenty of costumes and guided audience participation. Tickets can be purchased here. Friday at 8pm

Sat 29

Bat Paddle
Join Rowing Dock for the first Bat Paddle of the season, when you can kayak to Congress Bridge at sunset to take in a view of the swirling bats. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased here. Saturday at 6pm

Tim and Eric 10th Anniversary Awesome Tour
American comedy duo Tim and Eric toast the 10th anniversary of their Adult Swim TV show, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, with a tour that promises new spoofs, songs and dances. Saturday at 8pm

Sun 30

Beats & Botanicals
Enjoy a multicourse feast with Fords Gin cocktail pairings at this Sunday soirée starring DJ Dan "The Automator" Nakamura. Expect unreleased tracks, hip-hop classics and family-style food. The event benefits Operation Turkey, a nonprofit that helps feed and clothe the homeless on the November holiday. Sunday at 7pm

Backyard Story Night: 'Ridin Solo'
Gather 'round this downtown bar's "backyard" for an evening of storytelling by Austin residents on the theme "Ridin Solo." Fill out this form if you're interested in teling your own 5-6 minute tale, otherwise bring a blanket and chair, and maybe some cash to donate to the nonprofit the organizers are raising money for. Sunday at 7pm
