Shop until you drop at BLVD's First Fridays Summer SeriesIf your idea of kicking off the weekend is a shopping spree at the Domain, this is the weekend you'll want to do it. BLVD is launching its First Fridays Summer Series, with shops offering free food, drink, promotions and live music. Friday at 6pm

Travel the globe with Around the World in 80 Days: Catch the opening weekend of this Mark Brown adaptation of Jules Verne's novel, which provides a comedic spin on the adventures of world traveler Phileas Fogg, as presented by the always-eclectic Penfold Theatre Company. Friday & Saturday at 8pm

Tap into your inner kid at Bubblepalooza!: Whether you've got your own kids or just want to act like one for a day, Bubblepalooza! at the Long Center is a solid way to goof off. Draw on the graffiti wall, slurp on snow cones and blow all the bubbles on the Long Center's lawn. Saturday at 9am

Strut your way through Austin at the 8th annual Queerbomb: Slather on some glitter, slip on some heels and join this guerrilla Pride celebration at Fair Market on East 5th Street. Then get your steps in with the massive procession as it dances and marches down 6th. Saturday at 6pm
