It's the weekend! You've worked hard to get to this point, so you deserve to play hard, too. We've curated our favorite events happening around Austin for the next few days, from pop-ups to festivals to grand openings—all you have to do is round up your crew. Have a great weekend, y'all!

Fri 6

Austin City Limits
Jay-Z, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Killers all headline Austin's multi-day—multi-weekend!—music festival at Zilker Park. But the supporting lineup is deep with acts like Solange, Chance the Rapper and hometown heroes Spoon. Go for one day, go for all three, dance like no one's watching and hydrate, hydrate, hydrate (oh, and check out our full guide to the fest). Fri at 11am through Sun at 10pm

Texas Biennial
Pop in over the weekend to check out the Texas Biennial, an independent survey of contemporary art in the state of Texas which focuses on current art in Texas, deconstructing the Texas identity and exploring Texas as a border zone. The exhibition includes work from over 30 artists, and is located at 211 E Alpine Rd, #700. Read our story about the Texas Biennial's curator, Leslie Moody Castro, here. Through the weekend at noon to 6pm

37th Annual Oktoberfest Fredericksburg
Take a road trip to Fredericksburg for three days of live music, a huge array of authentic German eats and bier, plus specials events like Oktubafest, the Hauptstrasse Chicken Dance, 42 Tournament and a Kraut Run. Check out the full schedule here. Fri at 6pm, Sat at 10am, Sun at 11am

House of Torment
House of Torment opens this weekend with a haunted manor, bloodcurdling penitentiary and nightmarish carnival. They've combine 200 skilled, costumed actors with advanced animatronics to create a truly spine-chilling experience, and for the fearless folk, they offer a special “Blackout” event where you can walk through the attraction with only a glow stick to guide you. Enter at your own risk. Through the weekend at 7pm

Sat 7

Sour Duck Market Preview Bake Sale
You can expect some treats inspired by childhood favorites at this sale that benefits Jabo's Garden at Zilker Elementary School. And if you're inspired to try your hand in the kitchen, Barton Springs Mill will be selling the fresh, stone-milled flours that Odd Duck and Sour Duck use in their baked goods. Sat at 10am

Sun 8

Uncle Billy's Gospel Brunch Sundays
Have some smoked brisket hash with a side of soul as Graham Wilkinson & friends perform traditional gospel songs—and some Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd, too. Sun at 11am
